If you want to find out whether Jesus exists, you can simply ask him:
“Jesus, if you really exist, please show me that you are there and how much you love me.”
In the Bible, God promises several times: “If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me” (Jeremiah 29:13). We ourselves and many other people around the world have already experienced this. You too can try out this promise and convince yourself that Jesus really lives and wants to meet you too.
However, experiencing Him does not automatically connect you to Him. This is simply because He is waiting for you to consciously invite Him into your life. When you take this step, you decide that from that moment on, Jesus will reign in your life and guide you through it.
Presumably, in his love, he will gradually show you the things in life where he wants to change you. But you don’t need to worry about this, because you don’t have to do it on your own; Jesus works in you, and as your creator, he knows what is good for you.
He is pure life, and with him you will find everything you really need to be happy and have a fulfilling life.
With these or similar words, you can invite Jesus:
“Lord Jesus, thank you for allowing me to come to you just as I am. Thank you for loving me so much and for paying the price for my wrongdoings on the cross. Please forgive me for my sins.”
Now you can bring before Him the things in which you have been guilty before God and others. This is important, because you can only be connected with God once Jesus has forgiven your guilt.
“I invite you: Please come into my life. From now on, my life belongs to you, and I want to follow you in all things. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit. Amen.”
